Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They have to be the same size in order to fit in your printer's cartridge holders. Even though they are the same size, they will last a lot longer than the regular 62 ink cartridge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I previously had to buy the 62 hp ink because they were out of the 62XL and it didn't last nearly as long as the XL does. The size of the cartridges can't be bigger and fit in the cartridge slots on your printer. I won't buy anything but the 62XL unless I am totally out of ink and can't find the XL. Even though it costs more, it is worth paying the extra for how long it lasts. Sometimes I do a lot of printing and the regular ink cartridges don't last any time at all. whereas, the XL will last me for a long time. I hope this answers your question.
