Yes, it works all the way across the room with my Ubuntu laptop, even when the laptop screen is facing away from me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's rated for a distance of thirty something feet. I've personally have tried it at a distance over ten feet and it works with no problems. You have to keep in mind where you plug in the USB and objects that may interfere with the signal.
