This product works great for my needs...
||Posted .I own an inexpensive 7" Windows 8.1 (now Windows 10) tablet that I wanted a small-enough-to-be-portable-yet-still-usable-for-touch-typing keyboard to use with it. This was the best option I could find. It works as expected, and I have had no trouble with it. Installation was easy (just pair it via Bluetooth settings). It is slightly larger than my 7" tablet, but should pair nicely with any 7"-10" device.

Decent for daily use
||Posted .This review is done with the Bluetooth keyboard connected to a first generation Microsoft Surface Pro Here is a quick list of pros and cons that I found before I go into detail. Pros: Lightweight and sturdy(not flimsy) Fast Response Good feedback when typing Batteries are not built-in(uses AAA batteries) Cons: Frequent duplicated inputs Going into detail, what's good about this Bluetooth keyboard(k4000) is that it fits my needs as daily regular tasks(not gaming). For example, instead of spending time touching the screen to type, I use this and breeze through everything I do like online shopping and stuff. The keyboard has satisfying response unlike my previous wireless keyboard. By response I mean that I tap on a key and it shows up on the screen. With my previous wireless keyboard, I hit many keys and 1 or 2 seconds later it shows up even with new batteries. Even half a second delay is annoying and I don't get that with this keyboard so I'm happy. This keyboard doesn't have a built-in rechargeable batteries which is a huge plus in my opinion. The reason is that rechargeable batteries have a limit to how much you can recharge them. So devices with built-in batteries(if you cant replace them) will eventually be unusable later on. I haven't exchanged the AAA batteries that came with this one and I've been using this keyboard for at least a month. Now for the negative part of this keyboard is that it frequently duplicates the keys that you type, I'd say while typing this review it happened two or three times. Like hit 3 one time and you get 333333 and so on. This happened within the first 2 minutes I used this keyboard the very first time out of the box and still doing it a month later. It doesn't happen often enough to annoy me but to some people it could be deciding factor with why they won't get this. I would still rather use this Bluetooth keyboard anytime of the day than my type cover and usb wireless keyboard. All in all, a decent Bluetooth keyboard at a reasonable price. Well...looks like I finished writing my novel and thank you for reading my review.

Awesome portable keyboard for the price
||Posted .I bought this keyboard to be a companion to my Dell Venue 8 Pro(Windows 8.1). This keyboard is slightly larger than the tablet and has made on the go emails and work document changes a breeze. It fits perfectly in a 10" netbook case along with the tablet in a folio and a bluetooth mouse. Setup was fast and painless. I use it primarily on an 8" Windows 8.1 tablet but I have paired it with an android phone and a Macbook Pro without any issues. The layout is a little tighter than a standard keyboard and it takes very little time to get used to typing on it. If I am typing for an extended period of time(30+ minutes of continuous typing) I need a short break to let my hands stretch. The keyboard is very responsive and I see very few missed keys if any. The only complaint I have is sometimes it will send a long string of the first character I type. I think this happens mostly if I haven'y typed anything for just long enough for it to begin to try going into power save mode. This does not happen all the time and is fairly infrequent. I have had the keyboard for about two months now and use it on average an hour each day. The batteries are still showing strong. I have been very pleased with this keyboard.

Perfect Fit for Windows Tablet
||Posted .For my Dell Venue Pro, I had used a Bluetooth keyboard designed for Android and it worked well but really missed some of the keys. Especially the Function Keys, Home, Page Up, Page Dn, End, and Delete. It was taking me twice as long working on a spreadsheet so shopped for a Windows Bluetooth Keyboard. I found this one and really love it along with my Bluetooth mouse. It would be great if this came with a sleeve or cover to protect the keys. Maybe something that snapped on the top and then on the bottom when not in use. Only flaw I would say would be the cheap feeling battery cover. Seems it would be easy to break. Otherwise a pretty solid design and good price point versus the competition. I also use an HP Bluetooth mouse. I use a Poetic snap on folding cover made for my tablet (which I purchased elsewhere). All combined, I have a very small portable office weighing about 2 pounds total that you can put in a small 10 inch sleeve or purse. Much cheaper than Microsoft "Surface" and full Windows 8.1.

Great keyboard for use with wide array of devices
||Posted .I purchased this keyboard and its mouse counterpart as add-ons for my new PS4 gaming console to make it easier to converse with other players without a head set. Since they are Bluetooth, they also connect with the PS3 system and my Android smart phone. The keyboard is light, compact, yet the keys are not too small. Anyone who has been around computers long enough to utilize home row typing technique shouldn't have any problems using this keyboard with any Bluetooth capable systems, be it a computer, game console or smart phone. Compared to other wireless keyboards that require a usb dongle to connect, the price is very fair. After tax, the pair came to about $54. It is hard to find a good wireless keyboard and mouse combo that are so versatile for a better price. You can swap on the fly without having to remove a pairing dongle and reconnect to a different system whenever you want to use them. I highly recommend these peripherals for anyone looking for a wireless solution on a Bluetooth capable system.

Best bluetooth keyboard I've found so far
||Posted .I have long been on the prowl for a decent bluetooth keyboard with the Windows context menu, function keys, and the other keys needed to efficiently work in newer and older programs (INS, HOME, END, PAGE UP, ...). This keyboard has what I need to program and work in spreadsheet software. I do not rely on a keypad, so although this keyboard has a function-based keyboard, I haven't tested it. This keyboard has decent tactile feel, is sized appropriately for larger hands (I am 74in tall), it is lightweight, and easy to pair. Note it does not remember multiple pairings, only the most recent. I have owned a serial bluetooth keyboard, an aluminum-cased folding version (the best to date until the K4000), iHouse (you can figure out which brand I really mean), and a cheap knock-off that came bundled with a tablet case. None of them are as well manufactured as this one. Sadly, it doesn't work with my Nook HD Plus in the native operating system, but works when I boot to CyanogenMod (CM). The folding bluetooth 2.0 aluminum keyboard works perfectly with my Nook HD Plus, while the IHouse goes to sleep every 10 seconds. The K4000 simply will not pair with the Nook HD Plus natively but paired promptly in CM and with a 7" iView Windows 8.1 tablet. I cannot testify to battery life as I haven't used it long enough to drain them fully. I picked up the K4000 on sale, and for $15, it's the best bluetooth keyboard deal I've ever landed.

Fantastic keyboard with an equally fantastic price
||Posted .Like most other people, I reluctantly, but successfully made the transition to typing on a tablet screen with my fingers. However, it's never felt as natural or as efficient as typing on a keyboard. For some reason, I've always missed the speed and accuracy of typing on a traditional keyboard. I currently own a Microsoft Surface and never felt as if the Touch Cover was worth the price and I'm not a fan of pliable, 'rubbery' keyboards. This HP Bluetooth keyboard fit my need perfectly. It features a Windows home button that I find extremely useful. Plenty of alternate key functions that make using my tablet a breeze, standard function options, and a great solid build. It's light, easy to store, and extremely responsive. However, when turning it off and on, there is a slight initial lag waiting for it to be recognized by my tablet, but that might just be a Bluetooth connectivity issue, so I don't really fault the keyboard. I can move a good bit of distance from my tablet and it's still responsive and the battery life has been great. To be perfectly honest, I really have no complaints about this device. After picking up keyboard and a mouse, it almost mimics my laptop or desktop experience. Wonderful investment.

Does Exactly What It Needs To Do
||Posted .I Love having this keyboard! I frequently connect my tablet convertible latptop (Asus Transformer T100TA) to the TV. I have a Bluetooth mouse so that I can navigate to watch video files on my computer. I also wanted to be able to use a web browser to watch videos. This meant needing a way to type hence the need for a keyboard. There is only 1 USB port on the ASUS so I didn't want to use it for a USB wireless keyboard. Also, I wanted the longer range that Bluetooth provides. In addition, most of the time when I connect it to the TV, I have the screen detached acting as a tablet so there is no longer a USB port. This keyboard connected easily and is a very small form factor so it travels well. I have used it up to 20 feet away from the computer. The only issue is that when I use both the mouse and keyboard there is a little bit of lag when typing or using the mouse. I do not have this issue when I only have one or the other connected so it would appear that this could be a limitation of the computer hardware or the Bluetooth spec. In any case, I definitely recommend this because of the small size, price tag, and that it does what it needs to do! :)

Q: QuestionDoes keypad have BT plug like mouse or does computer have to have built in BT receivers
Asked by Craigo.
- A:Answer It has a blue tooth dongle that you have to plug into a usb port. The awesome thing about this is if you have the same brand mouse you can use the same usb dongle and it will free up a usb port. Hope this helps
