- Answer The DeskJet 1000 series is a lower-level series than the 2000. The 1112 is not wireless and does not have copy/scan function (it's a printer only) while the 2655 is a wireless all-in-one (print, copy and scan).

- Answer I sent the printer back because I was mistaken and thought it had a scanner which it doesn't. It is not wireless, so you will have to have a usb cord. I don't know about the compatibility issue, but I would think it would be compatible with most Dells.

- Answer This printer does not have any wireless functionality. I recommend perhaps the Envy 5055 for a great printer which has reliable dual band WiFi.

- Answer Jean, Sorry, I can't answer your question. I returned this printer because I mistakenly thought it had a scanner. It says on the internet that newer hp printers are compatible with Dell laptops. Hope this helps. You can probably contact Dell or Hewlett Packard and they can give you more information.

- Answer We no longer pack printers with CDs but if there's not one in the box you can ask HP Support to send you one. Just specify that you need XP drivers since they might not be included on the CD at all. As an important note, this printer is compatible with Windows XP 32-bit only, not 64-bit. You can also download those drivers from HP.com on another computer and transfer them using a flash drive.
