• I am using it successfully with Windows 8.1 on a Gateway desktop and Acer laptop.

• Yes you will just need to download the printer drivers from the manufactures page for your windows 8 computer. for you samsung tablet you may need to install the HP ePrint app from the Play Store

• This HP Printer is compatible with the Microsoft Windows 8.1 operating system with a free full feature software and driver download from the HP web site at: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5295967#N183 This HP Printer does not have the HP ePrint technology needed to print from mobile devices like tablets.
