A:AnswerYou have to hook it with the cord to a computer in order to set it up. After that, you can use it as a copier all by itself or use it wirelessly for printing or with a cord for printing. I believe this is correct. I have a similar model.

A:AnswerYes, this printer was purchased as a gift for my aunt to use with an iPad. She does not have a computer. We did have to borrow a friend's laptop to do the setup. But it worked to make copies before it was set up to use with the iPad wirelessly using a modem/router (also purchased from Best Buy). Makes good color and monochrome copies and only uses 2 ink cartridges.
