Is the ram or SSD upgradable on this device? null

Yes the ram is upgradeable to 32GB by an authorized service provider. You can also have the SSD removed and swap it out for a module with more storage.

The ram (2x8=16) can be removed and replaced with larger sticks (2x16=32?) and there is a second M.2 slot where another drive can be installed.

After research online of reviews and HP pdfs of this laptop I found out there is a second M.2 slot that is unpopulated on the left side of the motherboard next to the modem. I could not find out any specs but my guess would be that it is the same as the other M.2 slot. See picture of motherboard with a second M.2 drive installed.
