- Answer These products are very different. The Envy 17.3 is a full featured Windows 10 laptop. The ipad Pro 12.9 is a high end tablet running ipad os. The ipad pro can use a stylus, this model of Envy laptop cannot. The Envy 17.3" weighs about 6 lb and the iPad weighs 1.41 lb. They are not very comparable.

- Answer This model will not work with Windows Hello. You need a laptop that has an IR camera. This feature is usually found on the HP Spectre models.

- Answer I had the same issue after I purchased mine on August 9th of this year. Bestbuy wouldn't take it back because it died on me after the 15 day exchange policy. After contacting HP & being on the call for almost 3 hours, it finally came out that this particular laptop has a design flaw in the motherboard. That's all they would tell me & I had to send it in for warranty repair. I asked the technician that if the laptop had lasted 1 year (long enough for the warranty to run out) & then died, would I have to pay for this motherboard replacement out of pocket. He said yes. Somewhere in the amount of $380 plus tax. I then said I should be talking to a lawyer instead of him because HP knows of this flaw & is still selling the laptop. I don't know about anyone else but $1349.99 plus tax is a lot of money to me. I no longer recommend this HP Envy 17m-cg0013dx laptop.

- Answer Yes. Any of the configurations you listed will work. The computer ships with one 8 gigabyte and one 4 gigabyte module installed.

QuestionI just purchased this laptop and I have a question about the touch pad. It feels wobbly, for lack of a better word at the bottom of the track pad. Even the slightest movement on the track pad causes it to make a clicking noise. Anyone else?

- Answer The wobble that you are experiencing is likely intended operation of the trackpad. The bottom corners allow physical clicking, like a traditional mouse.
