Does the battery get hot? null

no the battery and computer have stayed cool.

This is by far the coolest running laptop I have ever owned. And I am retired IT guy from AT&T.

The laptop has an auto control setting that turns the cooling fan on and off as needed. Mine has not got overly hot during use.

Great question. This computer has a technology called CoolSense which is like an AC for the computer. It will automatically adjust the fan speed depending on the temperature of the computer. This should keep your battery cooler also.
