    • Answer Thank you for the question. Laptop batteries last a substantially shorter time than a smartwatch, phone, or tablet, by virtue of their architecture, features, and usage. The Envy 14-es0013dx has a battery life of up to 9 hours and 30 minutes (can fast charge up to 50% in 30 minutes). Battery life is affected by screen brightness, use of Wi-Fi, number of active open tabs, and power management settings.

However, assembly and packaging occurs at the country of origin, and in the case of the of the Envy 14-es0013dx, it's China.

  • QuestionI'm not technical - how much memory does this have in non technical terms? Like I could have X number of pictures/Y hours of music. (My old laptop died so I'm shopping)

    • Answer Thank you for the question. It's impossible to tell you how many files you can store - photos, videos, and music files are very complex and can occupy a lot of space. Applications/programs use a lot of space as well. If your music library is large, you'd want 512GB at a minimum, 1TB would be optimum. A good solution might be to purchase an external drive that you can connect via USB, or invest in an internal 1TB drive - Geek Squad can install it for you.

    • Answer With this unit you can edit the videos that you would like to put on YouTube depending on the format type. Just note that this unit has no GPU and renders will take longer. The higher the resolution, the longer the video, and the more animations in it, the longer the video will take to render. If you have a specific software for editing the videos in mind, you will want to check the publisher's website of that software to make sure this meets the requirements of the settings you would like to use and the format you would like to render.
