You can choose to get the 3 month for free hp instant ink they will send you the first set of ink replacement after a week or two

Please try again later.there were small cartridges with the printer, and purchased the XL black as well, but when loading the actually printer found the program that for just a few dollars a month, based on your page usage, you will get HP authentic cartridges mailed to your home. Pretty convenient if you ask me, so I signed up for the middle usage and will see how the program goes.
