“Can I use a black ink cartridge in the colored ink cartridge space as a back up for more black ink if I do not use colors? If I run out of black ink, I would like the extra black ink in the colored ink space. Is this possible or will the printer quit?”

• No, you can not use the blank in cartridge in the color ink cartridge.

• The printer will let you know when your low, also you can buy X 63 cartridge which hold more black ink.
