It was pretty much identical to a Kodak printer I was using. The are pretty natural looking compared to most printers, but are not quite exact. Honestly, I haven't seen any consumer entry level printer that is perfect. I am very happy with the way my photos print with this printer.

The pictures turn out great- the color is vibrant and not grainy at all. Obviously that is partly determined with what you send to the printer anyways.
