The printer only prints what the computer sends to it. Page numbers and dates must be generated by whatever application you use to perform the printing. For example, if you are using Microsoft Word, you might want to insert a header or a footer on your page layout, then format the header or footer to include the page number, the date (either the file-saved date or the printing date), and anything else you might want there, such as a document title or the author's name. If a previous printer produced page numbers and or dates right along the edge of a page, perhaps the new printer requires slightly larger margins and cannot print that close to the edge. If this is the case, try revising your page layout.
