A:AnswerThank you for your question! This desktop tower does not have a built-in fingerprint reader. However, many of our laptops include this feature!
A:AnswerCareful! A 180W power supply will probably not be enough to power the GTX1030. You'll want an upgraded power supply, and those are very difficult to find for this specific desktop.
A:AnswerYes, you can connect a monitor to this Envy Desktop via the HDMI port or the USB-C port with either the USB-C to HDMI Cable or a USB-C to HDMI adapter.
A:AnswerHi Jack. As far as I am aware that is a function of the monitor. I believe you will need to change the brightness settings on the monitor, not the PC.
A:AnswerDepending on the capabilities of your desktop you should be able to connect either via Ethernet cable or wirelessly. The choice will depend on your setup, meaning, where your router is located and where you want to put the computer. One advantage of the cable is that it might be faster. I had a desktop in the same room as my router but connected wirelessly and it was much slower than my other desktop connected by cable. (It was also an older computer, so that might have had something to do with it.) Even if your computer is in the same room it might be better to run a cable to it. If it's not in the same room a cable might be harder to use, but then you also have to worry about having a good signal (i.e., not too many walls between the router and computer).
A:AnswerHello! Thank you for your question. You can upgrade the graphics card so long as it does not draw more power than the current power supply provides. Replacing the internal power supply is not something I recommend - you are much better off considering one of our Omen or Pavilion gaming systems. They will be better for upgrading.
A:AnswerThanks for your question! There are two RAM memory sticks installed to the PC on this HP Envy Desktop. That would be what the specifications are referring to. As far as what was in the box we recommend contacting the Geek Squad that set up your PC for help with that answer.
A:AnswerHello, Bob. This HP ENVY Desktop TE01-1144 comes with the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630. There is an available PCIe x16 for a dedicated/distrete graphics card.
A:AnswerThank you for your question. This package only includes the computer itself and does not come with a monitor. You would need to purchase the monitor separately.
A:AnswerYou didn't answer my previous question. I know the total number of usb ports but how many of the usb 3.0 ports are on the front of the computer.
