I bought this model recently and it handles emails, Facebook, downloading files, games, etc. it starts up very fast and so far I am very happy with it. I needed help setting it up the way I wanted it on the desktop but now all is well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The i5 is plenty sufficient for daily routines such as email or browsing etc. downloads are more affected by your Internet connection speed than your processor speed. My wife uses this computer for remote work connecting to her office computer, and it handles everything she throws at it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know the difference between the I5 and the I7, but I did purchase the I5 and it is plenty fast. I use it on a daily basis for work and almost always have a minimum of 5 programs open with split screens, sending emails, web searches open, and other work related programs. The boot up is fast and I haven't had any issues with it since I purchased it. Hope this helps.
