• Thank you for your question! The HP Envy Inspire 7955e uses a two-cartridge setup, with the printhead built into each cartridge. This enables single-cartridge print mode, which means you will be able to print with only the black cartridge with this model. If you wish to forego color altogether, HP offers its black-and-white-only LaserJet printers right in the store. The models that have the scanners in these will scan in color.
