• It's definitely not supposed to get very hot, just slight warmth. Are you plugging directly into the wall? Are you also running mutiple sites, programs while charging? This MAY a cause. Call Geek Squad, they should be happy to help answer better and let you know your options.

• No, it should not get so hot. Mine gets warm, but not to where I am scared to leave it plugged in. Call tech support.

• Good question. Yes, the adapter does get hot when you charge the computer. You should place it on the floor if possible. I hope this helps.
