Yes, presumably you are using an external mouse to navigate, if so go to settings, devices, mouse and touch pad (left side of the screen) additional mouse settings (lower part of the screen), in the window that pops up click the check box "disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached. Unchecked the box to re-enable the touch pad
