“Last time I bought a computer from Best Buy I spent about $1,000 and it would overheat so much, I am curious to know if the fans/vents are in good places that will prevent it from overheating so often? It is really hard to tell from just the pictures.”

It pulls air from the bottom at the rear of the computer and exhausts out the back of the hinged area. Have been using it extensively for weeks and the keyboard does not get warm and most of the time I cannot hear the fan running.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Intel 7th gen processors are extremely efficient and run very cool when compared to AMD processors, under a load this will get warm but never hot and never overheats. Fan isn't loud either.

Also I was told by an expert to never set the computer on your lap as it will overheat faster. This time I bought a laptop with 2 fans that you connect to the USB port, it goes underneath your computer & keeps it cooler, I can set it on my lap. very lightweight.
