I was surprised by this "missing" part, too. The excuse I got was that it was left off in order to make the unit thinner. So I bought an inexpensive LG portable DVD writer and it works ok.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there, Computers are drifting away from CD/DVD drives because they are becoming obsolete as you said. Companies are shooting to make the computers thinner and lighter and as such, parts are sacrificed. In the case of this 2-in-1, there is no CD/DVD drive. You can always buy the extension with USB for a CD drive. Honestly, it's a change in times, but there are workarounds to it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it is a trend of sorts as it saves space so these can be made thinner, this particular is a 2 in 1 not simply a trraditional laptop so it seems they wanted to make it as thin as possilbe great machine and you can pick up an external drive cheap
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure your complaint, This HP PC has a SuperMulti DVD burner that is the CD/DVD drive. I apologize for any confusion this matter may have caused you.
