It is possible, but not easy at all. There are screws on the bottom, and screws that are covered by the rubber feet and other screw covers that you basically have to break in order to remove. Once you remove those screws, the front has to be removed very carefully and you have to take out the keyboard and disconnect it and so on. The service manual says that replacing the battery, drive and RAM is to be performed by an authorized technician.
