• You receive the promo when you startup the computer. Mine had the Windows store app installed and when I opened it, my $50 credit was already loaded.

• I've used the Windows store gift card. I don't recall whether or not it came in a package with the laptop, but I think I just logged into the store and there was my credit. I believe I had to enter information and the redemption option became available to me. As for the Media Espresso I have not used this yet.
