Intel and AMD are two different brands for processors, kind of like Ford and Chevy are different manufacturers of cars. Both are good, but some people prefer one or the other. Intel is better known and typically costs more for similar specs. While Intel has traditionally focused on higher clock speeds and efficiency, AMD has made their name on high core counts and good graphics integration.
