This model will come with a one-year manufacturer's warranty for the hardware and 90-day phone tech support for the software. This does not cover accidental damage or damage as a result of a power outage/surge. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My pc was under warranty , I had external 2.1 sound system connected thru the headphone jack and was getting intermittent popping static noises. HP support techs did all the troubleshooting I did . Nothing worked. I thought the headphone jack was the culprit. HP would not do anything to fix the problem. I went to a pc repair shop and they said it would be $166 to do a diagnostic which HP said they will not cover even under warranty. HP wanted to erase my hard drive and start from scratch which I refused to do . I gave up on there support. After months of dealing with this noise I found out what the problem was. If you own a HP laptop and it has the bang n olufson audio app you best uninstall it if you are using your headphone jack for anything. I uninstalled it and my audio to my speakers connected thru the headphone jack now is perfect. You would think the HP techs could figure this out, they really do not know much about computers, seems like they just do all the basic steps and that's it, the same any person can do going thru the HP diagnostic tool. Support to me was a big failure and a waste of a lot of time, so much for having a warranty when it is not honored properly.
