The specification for the Envy 15m-ed1023dx indicates that the USB-C port is SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge). Sleep and Charge is also supported with the SuperSpeed USB Type-A ports (5Gbps signaling rate). Yes, you could run it off of your docking station if you wish.
