• you need a usb 3.0 or usb-c to Ethernet adapter. they are available with just the Ethernet port, or some are 'docking station' style with Ethernet, HMDI and additional USB ports

• I believe a CAT 5 cable can be connected - I am not a tech expert, but I think I did this when I was running off a hard connection to my router. I know use Wifi , so no longer needed
