I'd like to hear about the hard drive as well. I know that SSD's tend to be faster than solid state drives, which is why many people switch. Honestly I think it really depends on how much your going to be using the hard drive and what you'll be loading onto the computer. But how much faster is the SSD compared to the standard hard drive?

That's what the internet is for - to find information, not to ask a question and expect someone else to answer what you could easily find yourself. That said, SSDs are faster, more expensive, generally smaller storage space (or much higher price), and do have a lifespan (a long one) before they will stop working, being an electronic storage device. The HDD on this computer spins at 7200 RPM which, for a laptop, is quite good - typical of a desktop computer. So if you're happy with the speed you get on a GOOD desktop, this HDD is sufficient. Laptops tend to have slower HDD with 5400RPM for battery efficiency (faster spin = more energy). Basically, unless you're a gamer or really hard-core user with massive spreadsheets/workloads going at once, a normal HDD is just fine. If you want a system with less storage space but a disk drive that is a few SECONDS faster and just want to sound cool that you have a SSD, shell out the bucks for that. Now, in the time it took me to type that VERY basic response, you could have already looked that answer up on Google - and I could have finished my coffee and read the news. Gotta love the people who ask questions (not your question) that are already answered in the product description, like what Generation I7, how big is this, does it have that - had they actually just READ the information on the monitor in front of their faces, it would have taken FAR less time than actually typing out a question and then expecting someone to hold their hand for them. I generally respond, "Read the description". Rude? Yes. Are some people lazy? OH yes!
