• My printer came set on the 'normal' setting for print quality. Change the print quality setting to 'best' and you should see quite a bit of difference

• Both on my deskjet and office jet that are both digital on the front will give you an option for lightening and darkening, which is where I go to change. If yours is not digital then there may be a setting inside the program to change the settings.
