yes HP is the best by far .The one called the "work horse" is very good.

You would need the one that has the autofeed at the top, you can not use the under the glass one, which would lead me to the officejet 3830 all in one, copy,printer,fax, scan. I also have this one as well as the other I mentioned. Plus a black white laser with autofeed. I use them for all different reasons, however, my black and white is a laser and that is also a 4 in 1, just because when I fax, on the other persons end its going to come out black and white anyway so why waste my ink. The ink is much more expensive than the toner or drum and you will get much more out of the toner and drum than you will ever get out of a cartridge XL or not.
