• Yes, this printer is compatible with AirPrint for printing from an iPad. It also uses a standard analog phone line for fax.

• Answer to both questions is YES. The iPad requires no setup only that the printer be connected wirelessly to your home network. When I fax, I simply plug in the phone cord, put the documents in feeder, dial the number and press Start. There is a separate fax icon to set up and control faxing... easy to use.
