“I had my 3 color cartridges refilled at Costco. Now my printer does not recognize them and I get the error code "cartridge problem" remove and reinstall. Costco said they replaced the chip when they refill the cartridge. Is that why I am unable to use?”

• Not sure, I would check with Costco to see why it is not working. I only use HP cartridges.

• HP has done many studies which indicate an average 30% failure rate with refilled and remanufactured cartridges. We don't recommend this practice at all. A better choice to save money would be to use HP Instant Ink, in which case you would not pay for ink at all but just pay a low monthly fee to cover a certain printing allotment (photos and text both count as a single page, so the amount of ink you use is irrelevant).
