- Answer Just noticed the"HPTeam" failed to mention that IF ANY COLOR INK IS OUT YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PRINT BLACK ONLY UNTIL YOU REPLACE THE EMPTY COLOR CARTRIDGE!!

QuestionIf I print a document that requires both letter and legal paper, will the printer automatically print the actual size needed? Do I have the option to print only using black ink? This is a Deal of the Day, so need answer before 72 hours, please.

- Answer Yes this model will automatically switch between the paper type. It can also print in black only but always requires the colors present to print since the printhead is separate from the cartridges.

QuestionWhen I Googled for a 5ghz printer. Google came back with HP 8216. Have not been able to get it to work at 5ghz, only at 2.4 ghz. Was Google incorrect with reply?

- Answer My understanding is that your router should be choosing the signal, either 2.4 or 5, due to the workload the router is experiencing at the time of the printer use. I have a tri band router so I am able to designate certain items in my home to run on the 5 as opposed to the 2.4, to ensure the best connection. An example is my Sony 75" 4k HDR tv,that I designated to the second 5ghz band of my router to ensure the best playback from Netflix,Vudu and other apps.

- Answer There are two sizes of ink cartridges. They are both Maxify 1200, but one also says XL on the box. The XL means they are supposed to print 3 times as many pages. The cartridges come in Black, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta.
