• Unforunately, this printer does not support automatic two-sided scanning. You would need to look at either the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus or the Hp Officejet Pro 8600 Premium, both will support automatic two-sided scanning.

• Yes, I believe so. It prints two sided which requires that both sides are imaged.
