• This HP Printer can connect via USB or through the Ethernet connection.

• Yes; however it would be severely overqualified. I do keep the cable plugged into the back just in case the network is down & I need to plug it directly into my computer to print, but had I been looking for something to use primarily without a wireless setup, I think I would probably have downgraded & spent less (even though this is priced right for its capabilities).
