• I use a MacBook and iPhone and have had no unresolved printing or scanning issues with this printer and the compatibility. I don't use the 'family tree' app though and can't specifically answer that question. If they don't work together it's probably an app issue and they will need to eventually update the app. I would make a suggestion to the app maker.
