• I just got this printer and will not be signing up for Instant Ink. I will choose to purchase cartridges as I need them unless I find out that the cost is less for instant ink.

• Hi, thanks for asking the question. No, you don't have to get the instant ink program if you really don't want it you can certainly buy the cartridges in store if that's what you want.
