• My first cartridges for color and black and white lasted for over 500 pages. I am only on my second set now an they are still almost full at about 200 pages. Cartridges for the 4630 last forever. Best capacity I have seen in all the printers I have owned.

• Once Ink cartridges are open they should be used within 6 months. Unopened ink cartridges 1 year.

• It seemed like the black cartridge had a short life span but I didn't really keep up with the amount of printing I was doing. Ink is pretty reasonably priced compared to the Epson I had previously.

• Most ink cartridges do not have a set expiration date. For the ones that do, you would adhere to its warranty end date as the end of life for the ink.
