Got this HP Omen laptop in late August and been playing WoW since April. My old (4 years, low end) laptop could handle WoW graphics settings of 3 but after Legion release even that was a struggle. When I downloaded WoW to this new one, it auto set the graphics at 7. Tried bumping it up to 8 and had frame-rate issues. Compared to what I was seeing, I think these graphics are amazing. On all my graphics heavy games, cooling fan I think is working harder than my window AC unit in my man cave. Need to call HP about this but glad I have geek squad plan just in case. If you're looking for higher graphics settings you'll probably be pushing the $2k threshold but I'm no expert on that. As for your question about work, this laptop is more rugged than I've ever seen. In the last 15 years, my wife and I have had 6 laptops and I've never seen hinges on a display so solid. If they're not chrome-plated steel, they look and feel like it. To me, display hinges have always been the weakest link in a laptop and with these I have no worries. Takes two hands to open it though. Lightweight laptop with stiff heavy hinges. Gotta hold down the bottom when you open it.
