There are anecdotal reports on Reddit with photos of people successfully installing a 9600x and 9700x, apparently they worked after the F.09 rev.A BIOS update that explicitly states a fix for the Granite Ridge (9000 series) Hangup at power on. I don’t know if that means all 9000 series would work, but apparently at least some are. The HP spec sheet for the Wolant 8C4F motherboard is clearly outdated since they’re shipping units with the 8700F, which is not listed as compatible with that motherboard.
