“I would like to know if there is any other way to charge the battery to this other than an AC adapter. I want to be able to charge it in my vehicle, but the only ports I have in that are a traditional usb port and a 12v "cigarette" lighter. Any ideas? Thx”

If you want to charge the laptop in your car, you will still need to use the power adapter with a power inverter for your car. The power inverter will plug into your cigarette lighter.
