“Does it come with a hard drive bracket and hard drive connector cable to install the SATA drive in the empty 2.5 inch slot? HP support replied that the hard drive bracket is not available as a spare part for this model.Has anyone put a SSD or HDD in slot?”

• Yes it comes with both. There is a dummy (plastic insert) hard drive attached to the bracket and has the cable in the laptop.

• I installed a 2.5" SATA SSD on this laptop. It does come with the necessary brackets. All you need is the SATA 2.5" hard drive. See amazon link below https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089C73T72/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
