Hi Davey! Thanks for your questions. Here is a link to the specs for this laptop: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06659931. There are currently 2x4GB DDR4-2933 SDRAM making up the 8GB of RAM. You would need to remove both of these and replace them to upgrade.
