“This laptop was bought for our granddaughter to replace a Chromebook. She wants to play a game on it that requires taking it out of S mode to download. I understand once out of S mode there is no going back. Is there any performance problem doing this?”

Wow, as I begin to write this, I noticed you asked this five months ago, and I guess I’ll just continue for anybody else that may inquire both this question because I had this exact same question, and I took a leap and went ahead and took it off S mode and honestly, it’s absolutely fine. There’s really no difference although they might say there’s differences blah blah blah whatever, but from my personal POV from physically, taking my laptop off as mode for four months, I have not had one issue with the system processing, viruses, speed. It’s all good it’s all good.
