“Is the memory soldered or yoi can swap it if you remove the battery? Also does it have m.2 ssd or just regular ssd? And can you upgrade that ssd the regular way or more difficult than the average IT student can handle?”

Hello, yes, this device can have the memory upgraded. There are two slots available and one is currently being used with the 8GB RAM. The SSD is an m.2. If you look under the area towards the bottom of the page you'll see 'From the Manufacturer" section which will populate graphics with additional information on graphics shown. HP recommends Crucial for purchasing and upgrading RAM and has tutorials on their site for replacing the RAM. Thank you for being an HP customer!
