The sound in this should be good already but if you are an audiophile you may want to use a PCI sound card which this model does support.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am also not a gamer, and accordingly this was a great computer for the price in terms of speed and multi-tasking. The existing pre-installed 5.1 surround sound is "not bad." Motherboard does have 2 open PCI-E expansion slots if you decide you want to upgrade the sound. Would recommend trying good quality speakers before dropping $100 on a "Sound Blaster" (which I'm guessing you already have if sound is your primary objective). Although speakers could cost you more than the sound card. You know that no matter what computer you get or what you upgrade, you will NEVER get the same quality sound from the computer as you get from your home stereo. Good luck!!!
