Thank you for reaching out. This computer also has a 1TB HDD. You could upgrade the SSD later but the purpose of an SDD is for fast loading of the OS and large files and such. I have a similar set up and never noticed a real difference in playing games (Fortnite, CS:GO, Rust, etc) from the SSD versus the HDD. It could be due to how well they have optimized loading in these games plus they are online without cutscenes etc... I store all my games and documents on my standard HDD and keep my OS and only a few programs (photoshop, after effects) loaded on the SSD. Steam also allows you to easily move games from one drive to the other without having to reinstall. This allows you to download a new game to the SSD then transfer to HDD once you move your focus to a new game later. What I would do is give this set up a try knowing that should you want more storage later you can easily upgrade. This would also allow you to keep an eye out for a great deal on a larger SSD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My 100GB hard drive SSD filled up and I was getting messages. I use Lightroom and Photoshop and it was slowing down. I replaced it with a 2TB so I don't have to deal with it. It wasn't cheap. On sale the SSD was $204 at Best Buy, normally $300.00. Not sure anyone would fill a 2TB but I don't want to be bothered. My D drive is fine because I use mainly external hard drives for data...
