• An HHD is a traditional spinning hard drive like you have had in all your computers. The SSD is a solid state hard drive. SSD is much faster and more expensive. You will love the SSD drive but it adds about 100 dollars to the price of the computer.

• Yes. A 1TB HDD (hard disk drive) has platters that spin and a 1 TB SSD (solid state drive) is basically flash memory. SSD storage is much faster than its HDD equivalent. HDD storage is made up of magnetic platters and has mechanical parts inside. They're larger than SSDs and much slower to read and write
