A:Answer Yes, graphics cards like an rx550 or gtx1030 should work, because they only require the power supplied by the PCIe bus connector, and do not require additional power from 12V jumpers (jumpers are not provided in this system). The stock 180W power supply budget allows for the maximum PCIe-only power demand.
As of this date HP does not offer a larger power supply option for this system. Elsewhere in the Best Buy questions, HP Support said they did, but I suspect that is incorrect because there is absolutely no information published by HP on what specific part to buy or how to perform such a swap yourself. Some have suggested that HP repair parts are available with compatible connections and larger wattage, but that will likely cost about 100 bucks and so it's not cost effective compared to just buying a more upgradable system to start with.
If you search YouTube for "Pavilion PSU updgrade" you will find some examples of people attempting to upgrade the power supply in this or similar systems. The general conclusion is that it is a risky and expensive proposition because of the non-standard parts involved.
See my answer to the Best Buy question, "Are you saying definitively a standard-sized ATX power supply can't be used", which I answered in some more pessimistic details.
