The cause of refurbishment is not known on products. It could be simple reasons such as the customer not liking the color, the wrong computer, the customer just didn't like the computer, it could be a display model. There any many different reasons why computers are refurbished. They are reset to the factory settings and have been tested to make sure they are working. I hope this helps.
